Forward the old campaign email or upload an export file. GuestMaker turns it into a clean, editable, on-brand template in seconds.
Every hotel marketing team that has ever changed email platforms remembers the moment right after signing the new contract, when someone finally asks the question nobody wants to answer out loud: what happens to the four years of campaigns sitting in the old tool?
The welcome series that took three rewrites to get right. The seasonal promotion that outperforms everything else on the calendar, every single year, for reasons nobody has fully figured out. The one template with the exact shade of brand color and the exact logo placement that took a designer a full afternoon to nail down. None of it is stored anywhere that simply exports and reopens somewhere else, or so it feels. At most platforms, the honest answer is: you rebuild it. Every template, one block at a time, starting from a blank canvas, while the rest of the team keeps sending campaigns from the old account because nobody has time to stop.
That is not what switching to GuestMaker looks like.
GuestMaker turns an old marketing email into an editable, on-brand draft in seconds, through whichever path fits the campaign in front of you.
Forward it. Every account gets its own dedicated import address, unique to that tenant, sitting right in the template library. Forward any HTML campaign email to it, from the platform you are leaving, from your own sent folder, from a colleague who happened to save a copy years ago, and it appears in your GuestMaker template library on its own, with a live status indicator while it processes and a short history of every import you have run.
Upload the export. Most legacy platforms will let you export a template as a zip file: an HTML file plus a folder of images referenced by relative path. Drop that zip straight into GuestMaker and it gets unpacked the same way a forwarded email does. The HTML comes out, every referenced image gets matched to its file inside the zip, and the whole thing gets rebuilt as a working template, whether that export came from a general-purpose email tool or a hospitality-specific CRM.
Both paths land in the same place: a new draft, filed automatically into an Imported Templates folder you can filter to with one click, ready to open in the visual editor. Nothing about which path you used changes what you get on the other end.
Here is the part that matters more than the convenience: none of this is a raw dump of somebody else's HTML into your account.
Marketing emails accumulate junk the way old houses accumulate wiring nobody quite trusts anymore. Tracking scripts. Embedded iframes. Forms bolted on by whichever agency handled the last redesign. Inline event handlers left over from an experiment three campaigns ago. GuestMaker strips all of it before the template ever reaches your library, so what lands is clean markup rather than a liability you inherited without knowing it.
Then there are the links that only worked inside the platform you are leaving. Unsubscribe. Manage preferences. View in browser. Every legacy provider resolves those with its own proprietary tags, so the moment a template's HTML leaves that platform, all three links go dead. Nobody notices until a guest clicks unsubscribe and lands on an error page, which is exactly the kind of detail that erodes trust in an email program fast, and exactly the kind of detail a compliance-minded marketer cannot afford to miss. GuestMaker recognizes these links by what they say on the button, in English, Spanish, French, German, or Italian, rather than by whichever proprietary tag originally produced them, and rewrites each one to a working GuestMaker link before the template is even saved. The unsubscribe button works on day one, not eventually, not after someone notices and files a ticket.
Language gets the same treatment. Marketing platforms routinely stamp every export with the same default language tag regardless of what the email actually says, which is a real problem for a multi-brand hotel group running campaigns in half a dozen markets. GuestMaker reads the words instead of trusting the label, so a Spanish campaign that arrives mislabeled as English still lands filed correctly, ready for the same one-click expansion into every other market as a template built from scratch.
And every image gets rehosted. An imported template's pictures do not stay dependent on the CDN of a vendor account you are about to close, quietly waiting to break the moment that subscription lapses. Whether an image arrived as an inline attachment, a relative path inside a zip, or a live URL, it gets pulled out and copied into your own media library. The template still looks exactly right. It just no longer needs your old vendor's account to keep looking that way, which matters most on the exact day you cancel that account.
An imported template does not sit there as a frozen picture of the old email. It becomes a real, editable document in the same visual builder used for everything else in your library. You can rearrange it or rewrite it entirely, the same as any template built from scratch in GuestMaker.
Most of the time the conversion into an editable document finishes before you have even switched tabs. On the rare occasion the underlying conversion service is briefly busy, GuestMaker retries automatically, and a background pass keeps sweeping for anything still stuck so it never becomes your problem to chase down. If a template does need a second look, it shows up clearly marked in your import history rather than silently failing, and a single click finishes the job. You are not left babysitting a queue. Forward the email or drop the zip, and come back to a template that is already yours to work with.
For a marketing team staring down a library that runs into the hundreds of templates built up over years, that difference is not cosmetic. It is the difference between a migration that takes an afternoon and one that quietly stalls a launch calendar for a quarter while someone rebuilds a welcome series nobody has time to rebuild.
Every legacy platform's best retention argument has always been switching cost, and for years the template library was the sharpest edge of it. Leave, and you leave your work behind. A brand-new sending domain raises the same fear, since it starts with no history in anyone's inbox, and there is no shortcut around pacing that reputation ramp before it can send at full volume. That argument only holds if rebuilding is the only way in.
It is not the only way in anymore. Whatever is sitting in your old platform's library, however it was built, however long ago, can be a working draft in your GuestMaker account within minutes, stripped of the junk it accumulated and rebuilt on infrastructure that does not depend on the account you are closing. From there it plugs straight into the same journeys that run every other template in your library, against the same guest data that already knows who is opening it and what they tend to book, the same trail that later proves a click into an actual reservation.
Switching platforms should be a decision about where your email program goes next, not a tax on everything it already built. See what else moves with you, or talk to us about your template library.
Thirty minutes, your real properties, no generic demo environment.
One AI action turns an approved campaign into a full language family, protecting guest names, booking links, and phone numbers in every language version.
A new sending domain cannot blast the full guest list on day one without risking spam folders forever. GuestMaker paces the ramp and guards it in real time.
A click is not proof of a booking. Here is how GuestMaker follows a guest to a confirmed reservation on the hotel's own booking engine, and admits when tracking fails.
